LET YOUR BODY THROW THE BASEBALL

Throwing with your entire body produces a very different result than throwing primarily with your arm.

Throwing with your entire body produces a very different result than throwing primarily with your arm.

Your Lower Body Leads

Lower-body engagement allows energy and momentum to move through your body and into your throwing hand.

Instead of asking your arm to create the pitch, your body creates the throwing action, and your starting position makes this possible.

When your front knee is positioned in front of your front hip, you're better positioned to maintain balance, engage the lower body, and move toward the target.

Your glove hand then triggers the movement.

With Lower Body Engagement

Your front knee begins in front of your front hip, your glove hand activates your lower body, your lower body creates direction and momentum, and your throwing hand delivers the baseball.

The result is a connected motion designed to produce greater velocity, better command, and more consistent results.

Without Lower Body Engagement

When your starting position doesn't allow the lower body to lead, the sequence changes.

Your front leg may land too early, your lower body becomes disconnected, and your throwing arm must compensate and create the throw.

Now you're throwing with your arm instead of your body.

Pitch Smart

Don't make your throwing arm do your lower body's job.

FOOT STRIKE AND (NOT THEN) THROW

When your sequence is connected, your entire body delivers the baseball with greater command, efficient velocity, and repeatability.

The Problem: Foot Strike, Then Throw

When your front foot lands before your throwing action begins, your sequence is already compromised.

The problem often starts in your starting position.

Your balance is disrupted, your front knee moves behind your front hip, and your lower body no longer efficiently leads the throw.

Front Foot Lands → Body Stops → Arm Throws

Instead of your entire body delivering the baseball, your throwing arm must compensate.

You begin muscling the ball toward the target, which reduces command, limit efficient velocity, and place unnecessary stress on the throwing arm.

The Solution: Foot Strike And Throw

Build the motion from a balanced starting position.

Your glove hand initiates the stride, your lower body moves toward the target, and your front foot strikes as your throwing action develops.

Glove Hand → Lower Body → Foot Strike + Throw

Now the foot strike isn't followed by the throw, your foot strike becomes part of the throw.

Your lower body, core, and throwing arm work together as ONE motion, allowing momentum to travel through the body and into the baseball.

Pitch Smart

Don't land and then throw. Land as you throw.

When your sequence is connected, your entire body delivers the baseball with greater command, efficient velocity, and repeatability.

If we can't help you get the ball to your target through remote instruction, your instruction is FREE—no questions asked.

Let Your Lower Body Lead

When properly aligned, your shoulders give the throwing arm a more direct path toward the target.

YOUR SHOULDERS DON'T START THE THROW

Your shoulders are the connection between the power created by your lower body and the baseball delivered by your throwing hand.

When properly aligned, your shoulders give the throwing arm a more direct path toward the target.

Less unnecessary movement means better direction, repeatable command, and efficient velocity.

HIPS FIRST. SHOULDERS SECOND.

Your shoulders shouldn't pull your hips. Your hips should deliver your shoulders.

As your lower body moves, the hips lead the sequence.

Energy travels through the core, into the shoulders, and finally into the throwing arm.

Hips → Core → Shoulders → Throwing Hand

When the shoulders open too early, the sequence is disrupted.

The throwing arm may then compensate for movement the lower body should have created.

ALIGNMENT SUPPORTS THE ARM

Good shoulder positioning, combined with appropriate strength, mobility, workload, and recovery, can help reduce unnecessary stress on the throwing arm.

The goal isn't to force more shoulder rotation.

The goal is to position the shoulders to receive and transfer the energy generated below them.

PITCH SMART

It starts before your shoulders ever rotate.

Your starting position creates balance, your glove hand triggers the sequence, your hips lead, your core transfers, your shoulders follow, and your throwing hand delivers.

Head → Direction → Sequence → ONE Motion.
