Proprioception
Every accurate pitch begins with proprioception - your
body's ability to sense position, balance, and movement without having to think
about it.
When your body knows exactly where it is in space, you stay
centered over your back foot, maintain balance, prepare your body to move as
one connected motion, and create a stable foundation.
The Kinetic Chain
The kinetic chain is the body's natural sequence of energy
transfer, beginning with the ground and moving through the legs, hips, trunk,
glove arm, and finally the throwing arm.
Instead of compensation, when each segment moves in the proper
order, force is transferred efficiently.
The Glove Arm.
The glove arm balances the body, helps guide direction,
controls rotation, and allows the lower body to transfer energy into the
baseball.
As the glove arm moves correctly, the hips respond, the front
leg stabilizes, and the throwing arm is free to deliver the pitch rather than
create it.
When balance and sequence work together, command becomes more
repeatable, velocity develops more efficiently, and unnecessary stress on the
throwing arm is reduced.
Pitching Perfect
We teach pitchers how to develop the proprioception, balance,
and sequencing that allow the body to throw the baseball.
We're so confident in our instruction that if we can't help
you consistently get the baseball to your target through video analysis, your
instruction is FREE—no questions asked.
