Every pitcher wants more velocity, but velocity means very little when you don't know where the baseball is going.
Consistently delivering the ball to your target gives velocity
a purpose.
That's why command comes before velocity.
Stop Trying To Throw Harder
When velocity becomes the goal, pitchers often add effort.
They rush their delivery, overthrow, and ask their throwing
arm to create speed.
The harder the arm works on its own, the harder it becomes to
repeat the same delivery.
Velocity comes from sequence.
Build Command Through Sequence
Command begins when your body repeatedly moves in the same
order.
Your starting position establishes balance, your glove hand
initiates the motion, your hips respond, your front leg carries the movement
forward, and your throwing hand delivers the baseball.
Glove Hand → Hips → Front Leg → Throwing Hand
Your body delivers the baseball to your target..
Let Velocity Follow
When your sequence becomes repeatable, you create the
conditions for both command and efficient velocity.
Don't sacrifice direction trying to create speed.
Build command. Organize your motion. Let velocity come
through sequence.
The Pro Pitching Institute teaches you the sequence needed to
deliver the baseball to your target with uncanny regularity or your instruction
is free. No questions. No hassles. No hard feelings.
