How Your Mind Works?
Your brain is built to protect you from injury.
Without thinking about it, your mind makes sure your body is
always in balance, your arms are free to react to any threats and you’re able
to move any way you want.
Standing Positions Say It All
A Typical Standing Position
Let’s pretend you stop to talk to someone.
Let’s pretend you stop to talk to someone.
Without thinking about it, you place your feet a comfortable distance
apart and you center your weight between your feet.
Your body wants to feel your weight centered between your feet, you’re
stable, your arms are free to respond to any danger, and, should it be needed,
you can quickly move in any direction.
Standing with Your Legs Crisscrossed
From experience, you know standing with your legs crossed means, to keep from falling, your arms react to the slightest weight shift.

Standing with Your Legs Far Apart
Position your feet outside your shoulders and your arms are free to move anyway you want, you’re stable, but your mobility is limited.

But You Start Your Motion on One Foot?
For the first time anywhere, we present this reality; When
perched on one foot, your mind substitutes your knees for your feet.
No Conflict … Knee Separation
By ending your front leg lift with a separation between your knees, your mind naturally stabilizes your weight between your knees and, consequently, keeps your arms free to move the way you want.

Once your front leg reaches its
highest point, the slightest arm action causes your body to move.
To begin your delivery, you open your front shoulder to your
target. As a result, your body spins down the mound and, by plan, to stop from
hurting yourself, your throwing arm instantly makes a throwing action and your throwing
hand comes through the same release window on every pitch.
Conflicts … No Separation between Your Knees
When you end your front leg lift with your front knee even with or behind your back, your mind instinctively centers your weight over your back foot. You’re able to move your arms, but, as you do, your body stays in place.

To begin your delivery, you must shift your weight toward
your target. Only when your front foot gets back on the ground does your body
stop using your throwing arm for balance. As a consequence, you reduce the
chance your throwing arm comes through the same release window from one pitch
to the next.
