Maximizing your strike-to-ball ratio is a double-edged sword.

When you begin trusting your first few pitches after an adjustment, you stop wasting your time and quickly find yourself throwing more strikes than ever.

You have a goal and your body also has a goal.
  • Your goal is to throw strikes at will.
  • Your body’s mission is to keep your “center line” (the imaginary line running from your nose to your belly button) upright.
Until your body’s mission satisfies your pitching needs, you’ll struggle to maximize your ball-to-strike ratio.

What connects these two goals?
The connective tissue between the two are the undeniable physical, psychological and physiological rules of nature.

Physical  These are the forces impacting your body.
  1. Gravity determines your center line angles.
  2. When you twist around your center line and your foot plant stops your rotation, the torque you create whips your throwing arm into release.
Physiological – Your body’s normal functions.
  1. Your mind is driven to keep your center line upright and balanced between your feet.
  2. When you pivot around your center line, your mind instantly and quickly works to reposition your shoulders over your hips.
Psychological – Your mind responds to your physical state.
  1. Your mind works 50,000 times faster than you can think.
  2. While your brain works to balance your body, you lose control of your movements.
How do you use these factors to maximize your ball-to-strike ratio?
When you make the right adjustment and your new movement is in synch with the rules of nature, your center line tilts less.

This means ...
  • When an adjustment is the right adjustment, over your next 3 pitches, your reduced center line tilt means less effort and more strikes.
  • When an adjustment isn’t right, your unacceptable results remain unacceptable and serve notice that this adjustment isn’t going to improve your ball-to-strike ratio?
When you begin trusting your first few pitches after an adjustment, you stop wasting your time and quickly find yourself throwing more strikes than ever.

The Pro Pitching Institute cuts through the noise and distractions!!!
The progression featured on the ProPitchingInstitute.com web site uses the Laws of Nature to teach you how to maximize your ball-to-strike ratio

If, after you use this progression for a couple of weeks, you don’t find yourself throwing more strikes, I'll do two things.
  1. First, I’ll waive the monthly $15 fee an outsider pays for my professional guidance and,
  2. Second, I’ll use what you send me to personalize a program that’ll fix the roadblocks standing in the way of you throwing more strikes.

Are you allowing yourself to be great?

It takes a short time to learn how to spin into your foot plant. Once mastered, it takes another couple of weeks for you to develop the confidence that your ball will end where you want.

There’s only one hurdle to overcome before your pitching becomes more effective than you ever dreamed possible!

How did you get where you are today?

To begin, let’s juggle different degrees of how you think with various levels of competency.

Stage 1: Unconscious incompetence - When you first get involved with pitching, it all seems so simple. Just get your throwing hand to come through the same spot on every pitch and you excel.
Your formula for success is simple. You see what others do, and you copy it. It’s at this point that reality sets in. You really don’t understand as much as you think you do and, worst yet, you don’t understand why it’s not working???

Stage 2: Conscious incompetence – Once you realize there are things you don’t know; you try to figure out the difference between the pitches that do what you want and the ones that don’t.
You listen, watch and learn. To improve your results, you keep trying things, keep the things that seem to work and throw out the things that don’t.

Stage 3: Conscious competence – Over the years you develop muscle memory and a “feel” for challenging the hitters you face. At this stage you think you’re in control, but to use a car analogy, you spend more time looking into the rearview and side mirrors than looking through the windshield.

Spend more time looking through the windshield and your wildest pitching dreams will become your reality.

Elite Pitchers pitch on a different level: Unconscious Competence

To understand “unconscious competence”, picture a spinning top.
  • You know where the outer edge of the top will be on any given revolution.
  • However, when the rate of spin slows down and the top begins to wobble, it becomes very difficult to predict with any certainty where the outer edge will be during any one rotation?

Every pitching motion is a single top spin.
  • When you know what it takes to spin your body into your foot plant, just like the top, your movements force your throwing hand to move through the same release window on every pitch and, consequently, your ball travels into your target.  Your movements into your foot plant means, without thinking about it, the baseball goes where you want with the movement you expect.
  • When you wobble into your foot plant, you can’t know with any certainty where your release window will be nor where the baseball will end up. Let his happen and you remain at your current level of competence.

When you’re “unconsciously competent”, you no longer stress over where your ball will end up and achieve the pitching success others only hope to find!

The Pro Pitching Institute teaches unconscious competence!!!

Human nature stands in the way of your greatness

Beginning with your next outing, the process featured on the ProPitchingInstitute.com web site helps you instantly deliver more pitches directly into your target, immediately shrink your target area and, over time, turn you into the Pitcher others want to copy.

Human nature says you want to do well

The easiest way to do well is to find a good Pitcher and recreate his results.

To duplicate his results, you see what the Pitcher does and then try to make your movements look the same as the Pitcher you’re trying to copy.

No matter how many bullpen hours you spend working on your motion, no matter how much time you spend comparing videos, you can’t seem to get your results to match the Pitcher you’re trying to copy.

Even in failure, you stick with your decision to copy someone

You want so much for your decision to copy someone to be right that you literally feel intense excitement and happiness every time you see a pitch travel directly into your target.

Seems logical, but, sadly, instead of getting upset over any pitch missing your target by a lot, you dismiss your worst pitches and live for your next good result.

With a laser focus on your best results, you never find the reason your worst misses end up where they end up and you never improve the ratio of good pitches over bad.

Let your worst misses continue long enough and, eventually, you’re driven to copy a new Pitcher and start this process all over again or you find a “Plan B”.

Successful “Plan B’s” contain these elements

When you develop your “Plan B”, ask yourself these questions.
  1. Since every part of your body always reacts to every other part, how will your body respond to any change in movement?
  2. More importantly, how will any change impact your throwing arm path and the size of your release window?
  3. Are the results produced by any one change sustainable over the next 10-days? 10-weeks? 10-months?

No doubt, developing a great “Plan B” takes a lot of work and isn’t easy, but following this path is the only way to outperform any Pitcher not willing to make this sacrifice.

An instant “Plan B”!!!

The progression featured on the ProPitchingInstitute.com web site presents a “Plan B” you can begin executing today! Beginning with your next outing, the process featured on the ProPitchingInstitute.com web site helps you instantly deliver more pitches directly into your target, immediately shrink your target area and, over time, turn you into the Pitcher others want to copy.

How do you pitch a gem every time you take the mound?

When you remain focused how your starting position routine impacts your center line as you start your motion, more and more people will recognize you for the artist you are!

Show your Team you have a routine that’ll keep them close enough to win every time you take the mound and your competitive pitching career is secure.

How do you keep your Team close enough to win?

You maintain a laser-focus on your starting position and here’s why?
  1. Your ability to keep your Team close enough to win measures the size of your release window.
  2. Your release window is a product of your center line tilt.
  3. Your center line tilt defines your weight distribution as you come out of your starting position.

Bottom-line … your center line tilt as you come out of your starting position determines whether you control the game or the game controls you.

What kind of picture does your starting position paint?

Consider your center line tilt out of your starting position as a brush stroke. Just the way combinations of brush strokes paint a picture, your combined starting positions also paint a picture.
Both are about the result.
  • Painting - Only you see the individual brush strokes, but onlookers see the entire picture.
  • Pitching - You understand the impact your starting position has on your performance, but when you take the mound, people only see whether you’re keeping your Team close enough to win.

When you remain focused on how your starting position impacts your center line, more and more people will recognize you for taking the art of pitching to its next level.

Realize more masterful outings.

The progression featured on the ProPitchingInstitute.com web site presents a starting position routine proven to generate a masterpiece every time you take the mound.

Pitching: Use Your Center Line to Predict Your Results

The progression featured on the ProPitchingInstitute.com web site teaches you how to get/keep your center line in a vertical position that’ll generate the very productive and extremely sustainable release window you need to be competitive at the highest levels.

Your center lines.
Your center line begins at your belly button and ends at your nose.
  • Your mind demands you keep or get your center line in a vertical position.

Your throwing actions.
  • Your throwing action always begins with your front shoulder revolving around your head.
  • Only when  your center line is vertical will your mind let you open your front shoulder toward your target.

Ending your front leg lift with a vertical center line

  • Orientation – By ending your  front leg lift with a vertical center line, you’re able to open your front shoulder to your target.
  • Throwing action – Your foot plant forces your entire body to spin around your center line.
  • Release window – Your foot plant automatically brings your throwing hand through an extremely productive release window.
  • Results – You use your entire body to deliver the ball into the strike zone.
  • Teachability – Teaching you how to slide your vertical center line down the mound is a very teachable progression.

Ending your front leg lift with a tilted center line

  • Orientation – By ending your front leg lift with a tilted center line, you force your body to do what’s needed to get your center line back to vertical.
  • Throwing action – Your shoulders spin around your center line.
  • Results – You results are driven on the “hope” your ball goes where you want and shows the movement you expect.
  • Teachability – There’s no teaching to be done here. Your results are based upon your athletic ability and your degree of eye-to-hand coordination.

Efficient center line management.

The progression featured on the ProPitchingInstitute.com web site teaches you how to get/keep your center line in a vertical position, use your entire body to throw through your target and generate the very productive and extremely sustainable release window you need to be competitive at the highest levels.
